British Red Cross
We help anyone, anywhere in the UK and around the world, get the support they need if crisis strikes.
British Red Cross is a volunteer-led, humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We help vulnerable people, in the UK and overseas, to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities. And, when the crisis is over, we help people recover and move on with their lives.
With the help of regular donors, the British Red Cross supports millions of people to cope with all kinds of crises – from natural disasters and conflicts, to individual injuries and other personal challenges.
In the UK, we provide emergency response services for a range of crises and we run first aid training courses nationwide, equipping people with skills that could save a life in an emergency. We also provide support at home to those who may need help, such as people returning home from hospital or struggling to live independently. In 2018 alone, this support at home service helped over 95,000 people across the UK.
Our work also spans overseas. We work together around the world to help people facing hunger, who are caught up in conflict, and who had to flee their homes. We reunite families, meet needs during crisis and support communities to recover.
By making a donation via Hands on Payroll Giving, you can help save lives when disaster strikes. With your support, we can continue to be there, bringing help and hope to people here in the UK and overseas.
